The Chicago musical was adapted from a play and debuted on stage in 1975. It was directed and choreographed by the celebrated Bob Fosse. Surely you've heard of the story about the rabbit and the turtle. They both entered a race, and since the rabbit was so sure he'd win because of his speed, he rested for a while. However, he overslept, so when he woke up he discovered that the turtle had passed him by and moved on to win the race.
